Croatian Chemical Society and the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb are organizing the 2nd Symposium on Analytical Atomic Spectrometry (2nd SAAS24), which will take place from September 13 to September 14, 2024, in Zagreb (Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Horvatovac 102a and Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Medicine, Ksaverska cesta 2, Zagreb).
The aim of the Symposium is to gather scientists and experts from Croatia and other countries who are involved in the development and application of atomic spectrometry methods in various fields, including environmental sample analysis, pharmaceuticals, biomedicine, geology, agronomy, archaeometry, metallurgy and development of new composite materials. The Symposium opens up an opportunity for meetings, exchange of experiences and establishment of cooperation among participants from universities, institutes and industries.

The organizing committee reserves the right to decide on the acceptance and method of presentation of the submitted work (oral or poster presentation).

- Methods of sample preparation (digestion, grinding, extraction)
- Applications of analytical absorption spectrometry (ETAAS, FAAS, CS-HR-AAS)
- Applications of analytical emission spectrometry ICP-OES, ICP-MS, MIP
- Development and application of novel derived spectrometry techniques (LC-ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS, LIBS, XRF, etc.)
WORKSHOP TOPICS
- New approaches in the analytical sample preparation
- Sample analysis by QQQ-ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS method
